5. Insert the replacement power supply module into the power supply cage until it
clicks into place.

6. Install the server system cover. For instructions, see “Installing the System Cover”.
7. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable(s) into the server.
Replacing the Fixed Power Supply (SR2520SAF/
SR2520SAFR)
Caution: The power supply is not hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the power supply,
you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to
the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power
cord from the system or wall outlet.
The power supply can be replaced if it fails or if one of the fans that is integrated into it
fails. To replace the power supply, use the following instructions.
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See “Safety
Information”.
2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable
(see letter “A” in the figure below).
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see “Removing the System
Cover”.
4. Remove the power supply bracket by removing the two screws holding it in place
(see letter “B” in the figure below).
5. Lift up slightly to disengage the power supply from the chassis tab (see letter “C” in
the figure below).
6. Slide the power supply forward to disengage the back panel and lift it straight up to
remove (see letter “D” in the figure below).
