Hot-swap Backplane

The Intel

Server System R1304BTLSHBN supports a passive backplane designed to be

compatible with the Intel

Server Board S1200BTL. The Intel

Server Board S1200BTL is

connected directly to the SATA backplane (default) or you can connect the backplane to an add-

in SAS or SATA adapter.

The system supports a multi-functional SATA/SAS backplane with the following features:

 Four SATA/SAS compatible hot-swap hard drive connectors

 Four SATA/SAS connectors to the baseboard

 Hard Drive Activity LED for each hard drive connector

 One 2x4-pin power connector

The Intel

Server Board S1200BTL on-board SATA controller supports the following

RAID arrays:

 Intel

Embedded Server RAID Technology II – RAID 0, 1, and 10.

 Intel

Matrix Storage Technology - RAID 0, 1, 10, or 5 (Microsoft Windows* only)

This system support drive status LEDs, You can determine a failed drive and drive rebuild

activity by observing the drive activity LED.
